Anyone else playing? Superb space based RTS with all the bells and whistles.

Buddy and I lost 8 hours at the weekend playing together vs 14 AI civs.

Nice change of pace from my usual FPS/Survival games and brings me back to C&C and AoE.

Noticed this on Scott Manley's Youtube last night.

Looks quite good.

Is the base game ok, or is it worth investing in the DLC? It's in a sale on Steam at the moment.

I think there's so much that starting with the base game is pretty much a good bet before working up through getting occasional DLCs. There's hours worth of gameplay in there already, and the free updates have made the base game more solid. I would definitely keep with the core until you want more from it.

Ugh Scott Manley. Cant stand goons/SA regulars and hes one of them.

As for Stellaris. To me it feels broken these days and the free updates have certainly caused this. Probably mostly due to the new hyperlanes feature.

However the mods available for the game are fantastic and definitely help extend and make the game more enjoyable. If you like abit of star trek then look up new horizons and if star wars is your thing then the fallen republic will be your go to mod...when its released.
