Does anyone have any thoughts on XBox Streaming?

I've just bought a Surface Pro 4 i7, and Microsoft kindly sent me an XBox One S bundle for free with it. I have a PS4 but it doesn't get used a great deal, mainly because access to the TV is fairly limited (and a 2 year old drains the rest of my time!)

My original plan was to just sell the XBox to recoup a bit on the Surface, but I noticed you can stream games from the XBox to the Surface, which would be ideal for me and should gain me a fair bit of gaming time in the evenings. I have no particular affiliation with the PS4 (in fact, I really miss Forza from my 360 days), but selling a used PS4 will be a slightly bigger financial hit than selling a brand new XBox One S.

So, do I break the seal on the S, is streaming good enough to make it worth my while?

The PS4 does streaming as well.
I have a PS4 client sitting on my W10 machine and it works well so I assume your surface will be the same.

Can't comment on the xbox version.

I have a Microsoft Win 10 Surface 3 and can stream XBox One no problem via Wifi. There is zero lag and games look fantastic. Plus just plug the XBox one controller into the USB port and the controller works (you can buy a wireless dongle if you want).

Here is a blog I wrote about it
Stream XBox One games on Win10

But I would probably just stream your PS4 and sell the Xbox one.

The XBox One S remote will connect to the Surface via Bluetooth (as it does to the console itself).

I haven't tried streaming myself (as my family's XBox is currently under my bed waiting to be gifted to my children on Sunday!) but I do plan to do so.

Does the headset (voice chat and audio) stuff still work when you stream to a win10 device?
