I couldn't see another thread running. Is anyone else getting this? I enjoyed the demo, but I'm a little miffed that VR is Sony exclusive for a year.

Hopefully my copy should arrive today, really looking forward to it, as in effect it will be the first 'proper' game for the VR.

Yeah I have an Oculus so need to wait a year to play it in VR frown

Unfortunately I smell a dud.

From what I have seen, and played the demo, what was my favourite game series has been turned into an outlast clone.

I REALLY want it to be a great game, as much for anyone who has pre ordered the game.

I'll stick to replaying RE4 for now.

I'll buy it for a high price!

Well.

That nom nom sound could well be me eating my words smile

Reviews for this look remarkably positive.

As you were.

I played the intro scene in PSVR and it was well done. Just tried the Steam Demo and it's a fail as it doesn't seem to want to let me use a mouse.

Oh well.

My Steam copy won't let me use my steam controller, but keyboard/mouse is fine.

While it's probably one of the first really big titles to hit VR I'm not sure I want it. I tried the demo and playing it in VR scared the bejezus out of me. Now I don't mind watching the odd horror movie or two but the VR experience literally had my heart thudding in places and while it was fun in small doses and a very good indicator of the potential of VR, I'm not sure I could take 10 hours of it.

I'll wait for the next big VR game methinks.

Enjoying the PC version. Got it for 31 quid from Green man Gaming and activated it on STEAM.

Got this today and managed 5 minutes in VR before I wimped out, as a gaming experience it's leagues above anything else I've tried in terms of immersion and intensity. I'll take some brave pills and try again later.

I've played about 4 hours so far and I'm really enjoying it. A couple of mild jump scares. I'm still wishing it was VR on ViVe.

I'm 2 hours in on XB1. As a huge fan of Resident Evil 1 - 3 I've been longing for a good RE game for years.

It's without a doubt the scariest game I've played. Even without VR it's completely immersive... the surround sound works to great effect. I'm suffering from motion sickness due to the first person perspective... still miffed that they went in that direction over a third person view.

I'll let the story pan out before I decide that it's a good Resident Evil game.

I've just finished the game (in non-VR as I don't want my wife to find my dead body in the morning ala "The Ring")... it's really, really good!

I bought this on Saturday, but it doesn't seem to work in HDR mode. The screen was neon pink! (standard PS4, compliant HDMI lead - upgraded all of them when I bought the TV, an LG OLED).
I had to turn off the HDR mode option on the PS4 options, and all was fine.

Yes, as far as I know. I tried everything (even swapping HDMI leads) before disabling the HDR feature on the PS4 itself.
