Thanks....looks like this is my new game for the Xbox having finished Watchdogs 2 and replaying the awesome Sleeping Dogs which was a free Gold download.

I still don't get the whole 'pre-purchase' thing for games these days... If you go on the Playstation store there are probably more titles available on pre-purchase than there are actually available. If pre-purchasing the game entitled you to pay 50% less, I could see why it might be a good idea but who wants to pay full price several weeks before a game is released, often with no actual release date given. Buying a game unreviewed seems a huge leap of faith in a time when Day One patches are de rigeur and there's no actual commitment to finishing games, releasing DLC etc etc.

I've ordered loads from there with no problems

On the subject of pretty order, it's getting a bit out of hand,as soon as a game is announced you can pay in full or at least a deposit. GAME have been taking deposits for RDR2 for ages..game not out for at least 6 months, and it's not like they won't have copies on release day. Same with COD WWII on Steam.

No VR is a huge disappointment (and a massive step backwards imo)! I certainly won't be buying until it is implemented.

I've ordered on pc for serious play from CD keys for £25 and also a copy on Xbox for playing on buggies and rally cross with mates on weekends.
Speckle it could be a year before they implement VR if they do it at all.

That's fine, I won't buy it for a year then (if at all). PCars 2 will have excellent VR implementation so, that's where my money is headed. It is such a shame, the VR medium needs fully rounded games like Dirt to grow it's userbase and encourage developers to produce more top end games for VR. Dirt Rally was one of the best.

Plenty of other games on the horizon which are going to take up the vast majority of my gaming time (Yes, Destiny 2, I'm looking at you!). Besides, if they implement it in a year, Dirt 4 will most likely be cheap as chips by then thumbup

Anyone playing?

I did pre order, then realised there is only 5 locations, and no new WRC cars and it kinda put me off and cancelled the pre order.

Then played Dirt last night and remembered how fantastic it was.....

Got it this morning. I don't rate it.

The stages don't have any character in the same way Dirt did. I assume in the championships it's not feeding me procedurally generated ones, but they certainly feel that way.

Wales really felt like Wales in the last game and each corner had a different aspect to it. None of these do. They feel completely interchangeable. I'm flogging it on.
