PS4 keeps "forgetting" Wi-Fi
Discussion
Can't think of any other way to describe it really.
Turn on the PS4 & it says "connect to the internet". If I test the connection, it times out trying to obtain an IP address. If I "re-connect" the PS4 to the router it works (and son can play Plants vs Zombies) until I restart the PS4 then it does it again - "connect to the internet". Never had this issue before.
Router is a BT Homehub 5.
I've restarted the router in case it's that, but anyone have any other suggestions?
Everything else seems ok - tablets, phones, laptop etc., just the PS4

Currently having this with my launch ps4...... I know it's time for a new machine however I don't play all that often and if Sony can still be hampering the UI with fuss and gpu heavy processes they surely can keep my box remembering the WiFi. Btw I have a reasonably newish Virgin router running.
Yep, mine does it now and again. It is supposed to stay connected to wifi whilst in standby mode to download updates, etc but it rarely does. Occasionally it won't connect at all when turned on and I have to reboot the PS4
Launch model PS4 with a Virgin Media modem coupled to an Asus router, just FYI
