Can't see a topic. Due out this week, have played the demo and can't see much difference from last year. I normally only get every other year, any reason to get this years?
I haven't played a FIFA in a long time (98 was the last one i properly played) and i have to say after trying out the Demo i was blown away. The crowd surging forward when you score and the detail when you watch replay's are just something else. I buy FIFA's when they drop down to £2.50 usually as the later one has just come out, however i may end up buying it on release which is something i would never normally do unless it was a Battlefield title
Love Fifa, always have and always will. Never been a PES player,
Played this over the last day or too,
the only moan i have at the moment is transfers !!
1) to be able to sign anyone you have to add to shortlist, go back, go to transfer hub, go to shortlist then offer to buy.loan etc
2) i dont like delegating it to my assistant, min off and max offer, takes ages too.
3) actually doing it yourself takes forever and if you piss them off it takes a week to be able to have another crack at signing them.
what i do like, although frustrating is the signing on fees and bonuses they ask for. i know it makes it more realistic but its a outgoing Birmingham City could do without lol

Fun fact; on PS4, FIFA18 has already sold more units this week than FIFA17 has sold since its release. So someone's playing it
That be me.

I'm a bit addicted to this to the extent that it's keeping me off Destiny. The new single player squad battles are good fun but I'm still struggling to win finals to qualify for the FUT weekend league. Started following Ovvy on Youtube for tips but I find my fingers aren't quick enough to pull off some skill moves.

Rocking with a front 4 of Dzeko, Perisic, Siggurdson and Zaha which works quite well. Regret buying the special Siggurdson at 50,000 coins. Could have bought Deli Alli with that. Madness.

Never thought I'd ever go back to football games but this is immense!

The following thread details a process in FIFA 17 whereby you can control a single member of the team (like career mode-ish) but also manage the team as well at the same time (manager mode) thus combining the best of both worlds sort of a thing.

Just wondering if you can do the same in FIFA 18.

I'm enjoying PES 2018 (after adding an option file with all the missing kits etc) so far.. for me what it lacks in razzmatazz is more than made up for by the fact that it feels so much more like real football. My kids are FIFA fans though so I'll probably have a crack at both. I liked the "Journey" style mode in Madden this year so I need to try the FIFA equivalent at some point.

Finally got myself off Forza and started playing this, UT packs seem better this year I've already built up a solid PL team and got a scream team Sturridge up front who is massively overpowered. Anyone playing ultimate team still?
I have 1 million coins in the bank, 90 in forms in the trade pile and a half decent team. I'm addicted to the transfer market and making coins!I finished Top 100 monthly a couple of times in Fifa 17 for Fut Champions. Don't have the time to play it this time round.

Nicely done! Never attempted to trade before on any Fifa but I've also got quite into it on this one, by using the sniping method I've gone from 5k to about 80k in a day, do you have any tips for trading at all? You can catch lazy buyers out with in forms like this:
1. buy 10 of 1 in form.
2. list for 6-7k over what you bought for.
3. keep relisting them.
That will fill a page of them at the same price on a market search.
They either sell or the price rises naturally anyway. I don't mind having a lesser team to use by tying up my coins like this, some people hate it and panic about the prices dropping or not having a great team.
This week Lecomte looks a good one to do, 83 rated French keeper with really good stats and only 13-14k, will easily rise to 20k+.
Predicting what SBCs are going to happen is also a way, the prime SBCs for Icons did me well as I had a lot of high rated Portugal players. (Rui Costa).
I'm well into it though so if you're new this might be a bit confusing and it is time consuming too to keep on top of it.
Here's an example on Lecomte, I currently have 12 of him and relist them on hourly cycles whenever I remember to pop my phone out and hit relist on the app. Takes 10 seconds.

Nice trading tips, dude
I've seen the reddit posts/moans about scripted Squad battles and think I experienced this myself yesterday. Normally finish the week in Gold 1 or 2 but broke into Elite this week. First game yesterday against a 43 chem, 66 rated team and it battered me. I mean, 5-0, I had 1 shot on goal, I had 37% possession, battered me
. Next game against a slightly better team, it did the same. 4-0.
Last game against a 100 chem, 83 rated team (Marc Overmars is brilliant FYI!
) and I fared much better- 3-0 although it was closer than that. Not a conspiracy theorist but that just doesn't make sense! I didn't alter my play-style at all.

Playing the AI is all about finding the exploits I've found. Doing a 'fake shot stop' leaves the defender still travelling often leaving space for a driven pass across the box or just to get the defender off you, I imagine Overmars would be very good at that, Jesus does that job for me. I play all my squad battles on Legendary, haven't lost one so far this week and finished Elite 1 last week.
Worth noting that doing the featured squad on Legendary gets you 1400 points even if you lose.

Did not know that.
I normally play World Class but win fairly consistently. Might be time to take the step up.
I do the featured squad on Ultimate just to see how smashed I get. Lost 3-1 to the current one, Castro's squad. Ronaldinho absolutely tore me apart.

Rashford is a surprisingly good finisher given his stats, I think his pace just create enough space for easier chances though.
Bagged a very cheap Rudiger this morning and have started to collect some cheap Bayern/BVB players in anticipation for a future marquee match-up (next week?).
As for FUTchamps, I'm still s
te
I get to semis and finals and get battered. It isn't even close. I think I should have a tinker with player instructions. I did have fullbacks on "get forward" which I've changed. Think I need my wide midfielders to come short to give passing options. Morata up front doesnt convert enough headers for me so I should just play the narrow game rather than wide/crossing.
I dabbled a bit in Fifa 17 but mainly in pro clubs. The last real footie game I played was ISS Pro on the N64. Loved the isometric view and the play of the thing. I can accept being s
te if I'm that much of a n00b.
