Anyone got this ? Loved the previous game ,immensely satisfying combat system and just great fun .
Debating this or destiny 2 as next purchase,or maybe both.

If you really liked the combat/gameplay and the last game for what it is, this one is probably for you too. It sounds like it might be a little bit more 'press X to invincible' than the last one though, at least that's what I took from what I've some people say about it.

I was pretty interested when I first saw footage, I never played the original but thought I might get SoW; I have to be honest though, certainly not any more for the lootbox etc. debacle, let alone some other criticism I've seen of it; on the combat, voice acting, the story and others. I'm not a LotR story nerd by any means or have any real interest, I'm invested in another fantasy universe, but it sounds like this craps all over the canon too.

It's being reviewed well by the big guys because of course it is, it's an AAA, but a lot of the people I watch/follow online and respect the opinion of are saying it's a very mediocre game once you take a way the Nemesis system, which really is excellent. Maybe I should give it a chance, but to me it's just looking like another game that merely sets out to tick every box of AAA bullst.

Then again we all like different things, the above is why I personally will be skipping it but don't let me put you off, sounds like you'd like SoW too for what it is, if you really enjoyed the first.
