Is anyone else considering getting a release copy of Assassin's Creed Origins tomorrow ?
Mixed pre-release reviews, but I like the idea of roaming around Egypt.

LIkewise, enjoying things so far. Definitely a more open-world semi-RPG vibe to it, which is no bad thing. Bayek is a very likeable character too, unlike some of the arrogant asshats in the previous games.
Wish they'd just stick with standard controls though - been playing a bit of AC1 & 2 over the past couple of weeks in the run up and just as I'm getting used to the controls again they go and change them

I'm too old for that sort of st Main story-line completed. There's still quite a lot of missions / challenges left to mop up, but it's been a bit of a time-sink. I think I'll leave it to dip into every now and then now.
Overall I enjoyed it, my sort of game. A lot of time has been spent on the environment. It's been ages since I last found something to keep my attention - last was probably GTA V.

I've racked up 35 hours in this game pretty quickly. Really enjoying it, the setting is terrific.
The Animus makes only a tiny appearance but is still frustrating when you are pulled out of the world.
I suspect I am near the end of the main story (I've spent most of my time on the side quests, 90 done so far). I hope there's plenty to do afterwards but I think I've had my monies worth if there isn't.

I had this free when I bought my new PC hardware, and installed it on my upgraded HTPC for the 55" OLED TV. Had a play today and really enjoyed it, it's such a beautiful game (4k and ultra settings). I love PS4's Horizon: Zero Dawn, and gameplay's similar.
