Ok so;
Looks like EA are sniffing round this, so instead of annual FIFA/Madden etc you'd pay for a continuously updated game, on a monthly fixed fee.
Now i'm no big EA fan at all, however I feel mixed on this one, there are some games I think may work well, and others not so much.
Could you see yourself paying £9.99 a month for FIFA?

Thought they already did with the ea access thing for £9.99 a month unlimited titles and game play
You don't get unlimited access to everythingCan't see Steam going down this route on PC, I think their business model revolves around people like me buying games in the sale and never playing them!
I'd happily pay a monthly fee for a constantly updated game, currently do with War Thunder premium, used to subscribe to WoW and Eve Online. I however wouldn't want to pay a monthly fee on a game that they are also expecting a full price (£40-50) purchase and microtransactions for. I would also be very reluctant to give my money to EA. I try to avoid their games on principle unless it is one of particular interest to me.

Not keen on this, I like to know how much I'm going to be paying for a game beforehand. Currently Steam is great for me - buy the game I'm interested in (usually when it's on sale), knowing that if I play for less than 2 hours and don't like it I can always request a refund.
I did subscribe to Eve Online for about 6 months, but the trouble is I only played it for the first 3 months then lost interest. This generally sums up my approach to gaming these days, nothing tends to hold my attention for that long. Because of that I don't like the idea of a continuous subscription.
And as for microtransactions in games...
