Our children (under 13) want one. They’ve mentioned Forza but I gather it’s not for PS4. What to buy gents please?

The Latest one (probably more suited to under 13 year olds than project cars 2 which is more simulator based) is GT Sport. A lot of of black friday deals on it at the moment too, which given it's only been out a couple of months tops is pretty good.

Whilst having not played pcars2 (I had the original) I’d say that would be far more enjoyable than GT Sport if I was 13years old.

Drive Club is a good arcadey pick up and play racer and still has some of the best graphics despite being a launch game.

PCars 2 is awesome.

Mudrunner Spin tyres is a nice change of pace and also good.

Is Project Cars online (like the new GT) or more offline (like the old GT) ?

I'd like a racing game, but I'm not interested in online stuff.

I thought that..untill I tried an online race! Even with my less than average skills, they're really good fun.

Be aware that the crazy situation with PS4 racing games is that even now, four years after launch, there is only really one racing game that allows local multiplayer and that is GT Sport which only came out a few weeks ago! Might be an important consideration for kids.

Be aware thought that the local multiplayer element isn't the main focus of the game and so is fairly limited.

All the rest; Drive Club, Project Cars, various NFS etc. are single player or online multiplayer only.

There are a few more arcadey and indie games like Beach Buggy Racing or BlazeRush which allow it but I found them all to be a bit lacklustre.

Thanks everyone.

So is there a consensus? I don't think local multi-play is a requirement.
