PS4 - Lego Ninjago - How to do 4-player?

I now this sounds like a complete noob question, but how do I do this?

My youngest is having a "gaming party" this afternoon for his birthday. We bought a couple of extra controllers today for the PS4 so they can play this Lego game in 4-player mode. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to set it up. I don't use the PS4 myself so never have to do it, and my sons are being a bit useless about it too.

4 player coop story mode existe !!!!
Get surprise today , playing arena 4 player with children ,decide to go get some more character in story mode (go 2 player split screen).
As they begin to play ,i just have the 3rd controller fall down on the ground ,and miracle the screen split in 4 during story mode , can play 20 mn until the game bug .I restart it and impossible to get the 4 split screen story mode back .is there a normal trick to get it back or do i have to make the joypad fall down everytime.
