I've got a 21 hour trip looming and fancied installing some tried and tested time sink games to pass some time. Problem is I am limited to a touch pad and a very, very average 3 year old laptop.

Are there any must-play less CPU/GPU intensive games anyone would recommend?

I enjoy RPG's, Roguelikes, Sims & Micromanagement etc, but I am pretty open. Something I can plow hours into without realising but still have some depth to it.

Specs are:

Windows 10
AMD A8 - 4555 1.6 Ghz Quad Core
8GB RAM
Radeon HD7600G

Thanks chaps.

Edit: iOS welcome too as I have a 6S.

I remember this the first time... can spend hours trying for a perfect run!

If that doesn’t appeal, plenty of other stuff there too...

If you can find it, Civilisation: call to power (1999) is an interesting ‘diversion’ of civ history, some good fun to be had there, if you like that sort of stuff. Obviously, lots of versions of civ are available. I still like #2 best.

Factorio could have you killing a whole month at least a weekend, never mind 21 hours. Get optimising those conveyor belts, might be best played on peaceful mode on touchpad so you're not battling aliens.

Agree with this recommendation, you'll loose more than 21 hours... I'd get a bluetooth mouse to go with it though and also a bumper pack of Red Bull, Pro Plus and IV coffee!

an alternative to Terrari might be Starbound, basically Terraria in space

Surely the most obvious answer is the one to go with.
Football Manager. DONE!

Also available on iOS.

21 hours won't be nearly enough though.

Seconded, along with Rimworld. Both games have the "oh its 2am, lets just finish this part..."
