We have an xbox 1 that my 11 year old son plays on. I set it up originally with a gamertag chosen by him and linked to my microsoft account email address and with significant privacy restrictions to make sure he doesn't get himself in to trouble. This has worked ok for about 18 months, but now my 8 year old daughter wants to play minecraft on there (my son is NOT happy about this having enjoyed a monopoly up until now hehe )

How's best to set this up? I have two issues here which maybe linked...1. adding a log on for her without messing up his account and 2. how to link the microsoft account email addresses. Since my email is linked to it currently, everything is in my name, not my son's (or my daughter when she's been added).

I don't want my son to lose all his progress points, so how's best to sort this out?

Sounds like you need to do the following:

1. Create your son and daughter their own email addresses (they don't have to use them)
2. Move your sons existing Xbox Live profile to his email address.
3. Create your daughter a new Xbox Live profile, using her email address.
4. Sign in to the Xbox with you daughters new profile - you can have multiple on the Xbox.

You could also create yourself an Xbox account after you've done the above and make son and daughter part of your family on the Microsoft website - this means you can control what they access and you get a weekly report on activity etc.

The obvious choice I'll admit biggrin But not a road I want to go down as my son needs to learn to share, and I don't want more screens in the house!
