Best single player PS3 games
Discussion
Bored of my Xbox One so i picked up a slim 160gb PS3 slim with 15 games for £80 on Facebook- bargain! I’ve picked up the following:
Metal Gear Solid HD collection (MGS3 Snake Eater is an all time favourite of mine)
Metal Gear Solid 4
Far Cry 3
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Uncharted 2&3
Arkham Asylum and Arkham City
The Last of Us
Killzone 2
Any other suggestions?
Cheers!

Well I don’t have 4K, but it’s a fairly new 49 inch Toshiba and it looks great! When I previously had a PS3 years ago I only had a 720p TV, so not full HD really. Far Cry 3 has aged really well, doesn’t look 5 years old! I haven’t really found the current gen a huge leap forward in the graphics department to be honest. How was the PS3 on this? (Sorry for the daft questions.)Also, I have a 568p TV (well, that's what it says when I connect the PS2) - will the PS3 look better? With component cables things look a bit ruddy.

Is yours HD? What’s your TV make/model? PS3 on a HDTV through HDMI will look fine. It looked fine on my 720p, but somewhat better on the full HD one we have now. If your TV is relatively modern (within 10 years) , it should have HDMI capability.

Ps3 looks great on HDMi 50" or 40" or whatever 1080p.
Yes it isn't a PS4 at nearly 60fps 1080p but it looks good.
Dark Souls and Demons Souls are two good single player games. Very hard and initially maybe not too appealing but once you get into them!!!
I really enjoyed Skyrim when I first played it through but you get a better experience on your next gen console with the extra gfx and processor power.
There are literally hundreds to choose from. Just google a top 100 list and select from there.
As for PS2. Again, if you do a comparison you will not be impressed but if you get the right cables you can enjoy the gaming experience totally. It is well worth looking into the best solution as the variety of picture quality across all the different cable options is quite something.

Yeah - I upgraded the cables to components from SCART. I think that's the best for PS2? It's a bit pixelated on a 32" screen.Hoofy said:

On my Mega Drive though I have the RGB mod because the graphics suit being crisp.
I'm not rich enough (time or money) to get a PS2 so I don't know whether an RGB connection would be better for you.
