I can see this type of thread has been done before, but nothing recent.

I am finally looking to get a new console (currently have a PS3).

I have only ever has Playstations - but curretn deals on XBox One are more attractive than PS4.

Most likely to play driving games (had every Gran Turismo since it started).

So should I stick to what I know (PS4/Gran Turismo) or get an X Box (Forza)?

1TB Xbox One S with PUBG, Far Cry 5, Forza Motorsport 7 £229.99

vs

500GB PS4 Slim with FIFA18, Destiny 2, Far Cry 5 £279

or even

1TB PS4 Pro with Far Cry 5 £369

Thanks for any advice.

If you are wanting to play more than just racing games then the ps4 is the way to go. Much bigger range of titles and genre's.

The Xbox controllers are very different to the PlayStation ones. So much I can't play anything on the PlayStation.

I stuck to the PS as I like the controllers... And I have a couple of friends with PS4s.

I'd stick with PS4 as wider range of games.

OK Thanks.

PS4 it is.

Is it worthwhile going for the PS4 Pro?

If price difference is small then you might as well get the latest one. Had my PS4 for years so no idea what prices are now.

What are you on about?

I have a PS4 and if it wasn't for the fact all my friends have a PS4 I wouldn't play it.

I have a PS4 Pro and XBox One X. To be honest the PS4 hardly gets turned on. The XBox One X has a much nicer user interface and works with my old XBox One remote control so is a great media centre. Also the XBox One S and X come with UHD BluRay players which is perfect id you have a 4K TV and want to watch movies in the highest current format.

Honestly not much difference between them, so depends on which of the exclusives you prefer. If you aren't worried about getting the very latest games though, then Xbox Game Pass is much better than the PS Now streaming service.

Same here, but they have one in the next town which is where I'm getting it from.

Only if you have a 4k TV and/or into the VR side of things; otherwise a standard PS4 on a 1080 TV is the best value combo.

Picked up my Pro today from Smyths toy store. Inside they had a pile of PS4 500GB with two games for about £260, or one game and an additional controller. The games weren't ones I wanted though.
