It's an Avalanche Studios developed game, they have done the Just Cause series of games and this is a distant from Bethesda's creaky old creation engine as it could be, probably Unreal Engine based.

And Rage came first.

It's the studio that did mad max - not the one that did JC.

I enjoyed Mad Max, looks similar but with more shooting and less punch ups.

Hopefully it won't be as boring as the first one, that was like a po-faced version of Borderlands without the humour, guns or interesting gameplay.

The live action trailer that was leaked was terrible too. I thought it was some Labour voters doing a promo for Momentum when I first saw it.

Sorry for thread ressurection, is any one playing this?

The reason i ask is that i downloaded it about two weeks ago on xbone and while i actually do like the game it has so many crashes/sound glitches its becoming a pain in the ass.

Anyone else playing this and experiencing the sound drop outs and crashes?

Yup. Drove me mad (on one x).

Bloody menu system was ultra sluggish and would repeatedly crash the game.

Real shame as I quite enjoyed the game - was expecting it to be terrible based on the reviews.

yep exactly what i have found as well, although yesterday there was a graphic glitch in a mutie nest and i couldnt get out until i had completed it. Complete pain in the ass, especially when it crashes and wont let me load up any other game and i have to hard restart the xbox, disappointing as im really enjoying the game.

Will continue playing with it a bit more and if continues to play up ill uninstall it and find something else to play. Bit of a shame really but googling it, it seems to be the game itself as its crashing and glitching on most systems that its out on

Played and completed on PC.
I don't recall any game breaking bugs, I think a couple of minor glitched missions but nothing else.
Enjoyed it.

Downloaded free via Xbox Game Pass. Will give it a try over the holidays but I’m not expecting much.
