I always think "Yay!" when Steam have sales. Then realise how much crud, early access and half-baked stuff there is on there.

What games are worth looking out for?

Thanks. That's 10 games off the wish list.

2 days of downloading with a 1.5mb download speed though . . . . .

I've checked a few off the wishlist, I'll probably get more.

Also, this started a few days ago so it isn't technically Steam Sale, but if you download and play Quake Champions before 25th June, you keep it for free. http://www.ladbible.com/entertainment/gaming-quake...

The Long Dark is a really interesting game, worth the price.

So far I've bought Sudden Strike 4 and starpoint gemini (big discount, not tried yet). Also bought Mechs vs Kaijus as I like retro style. Bit naff so far.

INFRA.

It's brilliant and it goes on for ever.

And it's £11.89 now, was £23.79.

That is sadly true. I bought one early access game, and never again will I do that.

It helps to have an extremely long wishlist for when sales come around as it means there's always something you'd like on offer.

Picked up:
Half-Life 1 Anthology - £1.68
Alien vs Predator 2010 - 99p
Return to Castle Wolfenstein - 99p
Reigns - 99p
ETS - Vive la France - £3.37

I've already got physical copies of HL and Wolf, but i just like having most of my games in one place nowadays.

I'm not sure about this. I think this game is a limited free release. Meaning it's free for 2 weeks and then will disappear from your library after this period unless you buy it. The wording compared to normal freebies is different.

Like the look of Starpoint Gemini - might give it a go

I thought it was rubbish and stopped playing it after a very short time. I may, however, be in the minority with that view.

Anyone played Steel Division: Normandy 44?

Looks suitably CoH like to pique my interest, I'm just not sure if the learning curve might be a bit steep. And reviews seem a bit mixed over the single player modes.

If so I'm in the minority too. Started off OK, but very quickly became poor. Shame as the premise seemed decent.

Downloaded "Slay the Spire" for 35% off.

If you like rogue based dungeon crawls and deck builders, and probably even if you don't, this is fantastic, hugely addictive!

Went for AOE2 and Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, for under £5.50 for the both.
And a Steam Link box for £2

Happy days

I bought it and played 2 missions so far, if you are used to that type of game the learning curve doesn't seem bad so far, quite like it but as usual have been distracted with other games I bought recently as well, will come back to it later though for sure.
