Time spent gaming...?

how many hours/days/weeks/months do you think you've racked up over the years?

Looking at my Steam stats, my top 10 played games are:
313hrs - Civ V
144hrs - Cities Skylines
92hrs - The Division
78hrs - DayZ
63hrs - Mad Max
40hrs - Crossout
34hrs - GTA5
29hrs - Satellite Reign
29hrs - Banished
27hrs - PUBG

Plus another 200hrs of various other games on Steam, so that's 1,049hrs of gaming over the past 5 or so years, not including all the time wasted on crappy mobile stuff. I imagine not a lot compared to some, but if Steam was around in the 90's I imagine as a teenager I'd have added an extra zero to that number quite easily

How about anyone else?

Arma 3 - 1,586hrs
Assetto Corsa - 2,187hrs

There's a few more with hours in the 20's or so.

I don't have the numbers for EVE Online either, but that will be ridiculous too, especially a number of Alts.

I don't have any records as i no longer game but it would have been savage.

I used to live on a 'real life' Live for speed server , it was as much a social thing as it was a game server, you would be guaranteed to find most of the regulars cars parked up somewhere at any time of day or night.

Far, far too long........ I mean, Fallout 3 I played about 3 times... Completely.....

But some of those hours are where I left the game running and did something else

About 25 other games with 50-200 hours on top of that. And that's just steam.

And yet I don't consider myself to be a "gamer" .

Does anyone know if there is a modern alternative to X-fire that'll log game time across things not played within steam?

If you still play you can check it by typing /played. Be prepared for a shock though (mine was over 1k hours on my main alone... didn't check all 8 alts).

Then you would also need to add the mind blowing 384 days on Everquest 2 across all characters (includes AFK time)

Jesus christ, I felt guilty about my 165 hours on BOTW and over 60 hours on Stardew Valley – some of these numbers are incredible.

i couldn't justify it now i'm an adult...but had so much free time as a student.

That said, me and the missus still have a bash on the xbox most days, i wouldn't be surprised if she's playing Forza 7 as i type this.

In recent times i think my biggest run was 140 hours on xenoblade chronicles X on the wii U...loved that game.

So, if you played for a full 8 hours day, half of your time at UNI you were playing a computer game!

Yup, and still managed to graduate with a 2:1, and was picked up by a design company before my graduation...not a bad result considering i spent 4 years at uni drinking, snowboarding and playing computer games.

Not sure if that says more about me or the course, but to be fair you do have a stupid amount of downtime at university if you manage your time well.

I suck at Counterstrike these days though!!
