I fking hate this game, it's a stupid fking pile of wk!

How the fk are you supposed to kill anything? fking Tramplers won't fking die, they just keep fking trampling on me. And those fking birds are s - one kept killing me within four seconds of me respawning by a campfire until I fking ran away.

I'm supposed to "Do three tasks" or some st. Well I can't do fking one of them so what do you say to that you steaming pile of toss?!

Why can't games just say "OK, you pathetic moron, you've died within thirty seconds of restarting, eight hundred and fourteen times now. Shall we just say that you've completed that, and move on?

And how, exactly, is "This monster is susceptible to X, Y or Z" supposed to help? Apparently part of a Trampler (either it's horns or some backpack thing) is vulnerable to tears. Well I've been sobbing over the bd for an hour now and it doesn't appear to be moved in the slightest.

fk this for a game of teenage redheads.

If you go in as if you were playing Gears of War, you'll get wrecked. Tear weapons are only designed to knock components off, not kill. You have to be stealthy and tactical, setting traps, using ropes to tie machines down and use corruption arrows to turn them on eachother. Or if all else fails, there's a very easy difficulty where the game almost plays itself.

Talking of which, Gears of War is incredibly frustrating on insane difficulty or multiplayer, since the skill gap is ridiculous and the shotgun never seems to work properly. The Mario Kart series makes you simultaneously love and despise it, since no matter how well you do you're only one shell hit away from last place. Or fighting games in general, since I just don't have the frame perfect reflexes that are required.

Eve Online. I've been playing it for 5 years now, and there are still huge elements of it that are a complete mystery to me.

If you just run in and try to shoot everything, since even the most basic of enemies will do a lot of damage.

Anything emphasizing stealth. I didn't spend my day toiling down the mines looking forward to hiding behind a virtual pot plant. I want to run in there and wreak havoc.

Assassin's creed games. I hate the glitchy controls that do anything but what you want them to.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the one that sticks in my mind, go down the stealth route and get completely and utterly batter by the first boss battle as there's no 'stealth' way to take them down.

Hitman - it's recently appeared on Xbox games pass and the first Paris mission is kicking my arse in all kinds of ways.

Eventually had enough of trying to play it correctly, managed to climb up a drainpipe to the top level of the mansion (where the auction is taking place), knocked a guard out, stole his carbine, threw his naked body over the ledge and went postal on the people in the auction. Switched to the dropped carbines from the rest of the guards and went on an overt killing spree, clearing the top floor of anyone - guests or guards, only getting stopped when three guards had me pinned down.

Mr. Flibble was very, very angry!!

From memory, the ‘boss fights’ were produced by a completely different development team.

I gave up the latest Hitman (with great regret, as I've played every single one of the others, as they came out). I just don't want to play the same thing over and over. And this gets worse again when you try the "escalations".

Otherwise: FTL - never got close to winning. Civ 5 - won, but never knew how/why. Project Cars with a keyboard. One of the GTAs where there was a flying mission I just couldn't do in time. Probably many others, but I've buried them in my memory in embarrassment wink

Yes.

Apparently it's been banned under the Geneva convention now.

That from years ago, for sure.

Currently? Fortnight - I’m just awful at it. FPS’s should be mouse and keyboard, I’m just not cut out for console controls when playing against people who’ve grown up with them
