Best of the Switch

Had a little search and it doesn't seem like there is much on here regarding the Nintendo Switch… with that in mind, this thread might die fairly rapidly but thought it was worth a shot.

I appreciate most of the hardcore gamers possibly aren't interested in the Switch (from experience with friends of mine), however one particular guy who I know from work is a serious PC gamer and has recently purchased himself a Switch and cannot put it down.

So, and Switch players on here? Is there already a thread that I'm missing?

I got one on the release date and put my life on hold pretty much to play Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, lots of Splatoon, Stardew Valley, then kind of got bored and didn't play for a few months, but recently started playing a bit of Splatoon again and its given me the bug. With winter round the corner I might get back on the consoles a bit more.

I do have an Xbox One as well, but the pick-up put-down nature of the Switch, boot up times and how fun some of the games are means it wins every time for me.

Downloaded the physics based puzzle game Human Fall Flat last night, had a little play and it seems like it could be a lot of fun (and probably quite frustrating at times!), so that will keep me entertained for a few weeks.

I've been playing Hollow Knight - challenging, "metroidvania" type, SteamWorldDig 2 another platformer but considerably easier than Hollow Knight and just about to kick off Darkest Dungeon. Looking forward to Diablo 3 when it's released. I've still not played Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey or BOTW...

Ah Hollow Knight was the next thing that caught my attention actually, looks like a really beautifully designed game. So worth checking out yeh?

My pal from work is addicted to Darkest Dungeon at the moment, so that was another one on my list to try.

BOTW is a must, I'm sure you've probably been told that before. Have you played all the other Zelda's over the years? I did a good 180 hours on BOTW and I still haven't 100%'d it, having a bit of a break to try some other games.

Enjoyed Hollow Knight, though the end game got a bit too tough for me, have recently been playing Dead Cells on it which is another PC Port and that's incredible, similar vein to Hollow Knight, but much more focused on combat. Think of a cross between Spelunky, Castlevania, Dark Souls and any Rogue-like and you're on the right track. Well worth giving it a go.

Another one to try is Into The Breach as another one from the PC, but this time an RTS.

Golf Story is also great fun and one of my favourite titles on it.
