I think it depends on if you have an XB1 already as well as if you have a 4K screen.

You dont need it but if you have a 4k tv and dont cringe at the price, there is no reason not to buy it.

It's a massive upgrade over both base Xbox One or Xbox One S, though you'll only really get the most out of it if you have a 4K TV and are happy to make One X your home for most multi-platform games.

Games run better and look better on it even on a regular HD TV. you 100% don't need 4k to get the benefits

100% worth while imho esp when you can get one for around the £300 mark now

I paid £349 for mine, and yes I'm comparing it side by side with my "S" model as far as the performance and looks comments on a normal HD TV go.

Expect you would be better waiting a few weeks as we will be in the high price period just before the Christmas sale starts..

You might be able to get a Tesco/Argos refurb. for that sort of price - or an overseas order like https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xbox-one-x-shadow...

Just ordered an X from Amazon head of Red Dead 2. Have a 4k TV so will get the full benefit from it.

Seems to be a quite a common problem on the internet but am having major issues getting 4k working properly when routing all my connections through my Bose amp.
4k works fine when I connect my XBox One X directly to my 4k TV but then I am forced to use headphones to get sound (have no speakers on my TV).
Seems to be general issue with anyone using an amp but Bose appears more problematic than most. I have a Bose V35 - anyone else having similar issues?

Just won a brand new One X in an ebay auction.

Anyone know how the data transfer from my current console works? I'm also assuming there will be a mass of updates for 'One X enhanced' games.

I just got a one X even though I don't have 4k. Might do one day.

Paid £450 with 4 games. Selling FIFA because football is pish so should get about 40 back.

Cheers! Last minute bid of £320.

Not a bundle so could probably have got a better deal getting one and selling off the games. Looking forward to see how it compares the regular One before I sell it off.

My Xbox One is four years old this month, I don’t tend to switch it off when we are finished with it, so it spends literally weeks at a time switched on without any downtime at all and still runs fine. I don’t have 4K, and don’t intend to get it for a good while. But if my original One dies I’ll get one straight away. I’ve seen one on a non 4K tv- it definitely is noticeably improved even without 4K.
