Games run better and look better on it even on a regular HD TV. you 100% don't need 4k to get the benefits
100% worth while imho esp when you can get one for around the £300 mark now

You might be able to get a Tesco/Argos refurb. for that sort of price - or an overseas order like https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xbox-one-x-shadow...
Seems to be a quite a common problem on the internet but am having major issues getting 4k working properly when routing all my connections through my Bose amp.
4k works fine when I connect my XBox One X directly to my 4k TV but then I am forced to use headphones to get sound (have no speakers on my TV).
Seems to be general issue with anyone using an amp but Bose appears more problematic than most. I have a Bose V35 - anyone else having similar issues?

My Xbox One is four years old this month, I don’t tend to switch it off when we are finished with it, so it spends literally weeks at a time switched on without any downtime at all and still runs fine. I don’t have 4K, and don’t intend to get it for a good while. But if my original One dies I’ll get one straight away. I’ve seen one on a non 4K tv- it definitely is noticeably improved even without 4K.
