I am quite happy to not have them have the licence thanks.
Dirt rally was a magnificent piece of work, truly one of the most immersive and well put together sims of recent years.
It was very difficult, very detailed in the right ways.
It lacked locations, and the WRC franchise would cost a bundle, and Milestone are quite happy to release turgid Shiite tear on year with their series link ins.
If it is anything like the original it will be superb. Just don't make it like Dirt 4 as that was appalling

I'm so disappointed by the lack of VR implementation, which sadly is a deal breaker for me and I won't be buying at launch.
I will keep my fingers crossed it gets added at a later date as the 2D game footage I've seen so far looks really good and would be amazing in VR.
I believe they confirmed it will get VR support post-launch.....I'll be buying it the day it does...I will keep my fingers crossed it gets added at a later date as the 2D game footage I've seen so far looks really good and would be amazing in VR.
Can't wait for this, pre ordered the delux steelbook disc version from shop to for £54. Will be landing on my doorstep on the 22nd so get all that weekend to play it rather than the official 26th tuesday.

They confirmed Vr yesterday. Not at launch but definately coming by summer in partnership with oculus.I will keep my fingers crossed it gets added at a later date as the 2D game footage I've seen so far looks really good and would be amazing in VR.
gonna skip it for a while.
Codemasters are shoddy, The VR support debacle was enough for me. Then they pulled the oculus thing again, meaning no proper support for anyone else, They never fixed the bugs in dirt rally one. Its launching with only 6 locations AGAIN. The big critism of the last game. But its okay, They will make you buy more later this time. They have also dropped a load of cars aswell.

Dirt rally is my most played game ever i think, just loved it, got nearly 500 hours on it, bought dirt 4 with all the hype and i've managed 19 hours in 1 1/2 years. At least the 6 locations are new ones and the 1st dlc is 3 more rally locations and 5 rally cars so thats 9 locations, if it had been any other game i wouldn't have pre ordered but i have the same enjoyment as dr1 then it will be money well spent.Codemasters are shoddy, The VR support debacle was enough for me. That is excellent news! Hopefully not oculus exclusive again (although, not a dealbreaker as long as us Vive users can use revive as a workaround) but, native support would be nice this time around.Once VR is implemented, this is a definite purchase for me

It looks like oculus has put the funds up to implement vr but I'd imagine it will be the same as dr1. I played dr1 on rift and couldn't manage a full long stage without having to pause it because of feeling sick. Once VR is implemented, this is a definite purchase for me
