(Ultima) Underworld Ascendant

There doesn't seem to be a thread on this, that I can find.

I just saw an article on Rock, Paper, Shotgun about Underworld Ascendant, the "successor to immersive sim great granddaddy Ultima Underworld". I spent a lot of time in UU in my youth, and I'm also a fan of Akane games, such as Dishonored and Prey, and have played a lot of Skyrim in the past (despite being more of a Fallout girl really).

According to the blurb on the official site:

Rock, Paper, Shotgun says that it "launches" in 10 days' time. I'm a little wary of the word "launches" though. Is this a solo game to buy, or an online multi-player game? I hope it's not the latter.

I’m a kickstarter backer of this particular project. The developers have been pretty good with communication and information and I think the beta testing has been going well. You could check out their kickstarter page for the latest info.
