Any ideas guys, one of those raspberry things.

Bought it from a company over XMAS, took weeks to get here, company website is now closed so am fearing they have been selling duds or something totally disreputable. Have contacted them but am imagining they have gone bust and have done away with thousands.

Basically it worked upon purchase but does not anymore, all I get is an internal powerlight, nothing else. Dead as a dodo

Assuming its just a Raspberry Pi in a case you can get a pre-loaded and pre-configured Retropi micro sd card of eBay for a few quid. If your feeling brave you could follow one of the many guides on the net and do it yourself.

Chances are your existing card may have just died, seems unlikely your hardware has gone kaput.

Is it likely the card would just die, it is not very old.

All I get from the box is a power light.

Retropie is quite easy to crash or corrupt. As above, get a copy on Ebay, copy the card contents on a pc and then you have a backup should it ever happen again.

Just make sure the copy of Retropie matches your Raspberry, IE V3, which they all seem to be on Ebay anyway.

One other pointer, are you shutting it down correctly? Just like you would a pc? or hitting the power button?

My little box uses the reset button to close Retropie down and then I use the power switch to shut off the device.

AS I say I think this was a hit and run version, no switches, just ports. Done on cheap before Xmas, decent website, bought a few thousands of them, sold them at ,massive profit, probably two blokes in a garage, certainly a tone of complaints on the web

Am trying to get a refund through paypal, but not holding out much hope, they seem utterly disinterested

UIs not working now,

And you can see there they are all out of stock something wring there I think

The one I had had a Kodi on it too and that never worked

Is everything loaded on the card then? there must be some stuff on the board, I thought a battery had failed or something.
