Has anybody else had a situation where their controllers can’t take energy from even new batteries for more than a few seconds before they turn off as if the battery is flat? If so, do you know a fix?
Cheers

Are you using the recharge pack or aa batteries?

My recharge pack gave up but would work if I left it plugged in by the wire ( no longer wireless) would also work if I put aa in the original battery pack but need to change like I do on my xbone

If it is doing that with new batteries it is faulty.
Just treat yourself to a new one if you still play your 360.

Have you checked the connections?

Its been a while since I had 360 but I do remember getting a small screwdriver and just angling one of the connections out a bit better as I suspect years of ramming AA's in there had pushed them in a bit

or the batteries?

Are they old rechargeable units?
Or from poundland?

I might have a spare working one that you can have for postage, although I’d need to check!

It may be this:

If that doesn't work, from memory there is a little bit of plastic that protrudes from. the battery cartridge which needs to close a micro-switch - it gets worn and no longer works....

If you locate it try adding some cardboard/foil etc so that it can engage the button, see:.

Brilliant. Thanks for all the suggestions. I’ll try each one until it works!
Cheers.
