What to buy.....
Discussion
Hi guys
Been disappointed with my last few buys from the PS store. Relatively new to gaming on the PS4. Like FS shooters and Open World games are an interest and something and I'd like to get into. Don't know anyone else with a PS4 so don't game with friends....I know awww ! If you'd like to a 44yr old footie loving male to your friends list please do.
Currently on sale in the PS Store:
RD2 - heard s
tty reviews about this game
Days Gone - looks OK
Call of Duty Black Ops - like I might wait to buy the new COD game.
Are there any you would say buy or Avoid?
Like I say feel free to add me - I play a lot of Battlefield 5.
Cheers guys
Barry

Days Gone, I got it cheap at an exchange shop £25 and have over 100 hours in it. I'm really enjoying it and getting to within the last 2-3 hours I think, though that's if I follow the last remains of the story, if I do the last few side missions that could easily be another 20 hours plus.
very atmospheric, excellent graphics (IMHO) and the storyline is really good.
I did some of Red Dead 2, but got bored, I'll give it another go once I've finished Days Gone.

Interesting, I loved RDR2, completed it and have kept it as may go through again at somepointvery atmospheric, excellent graphics (IMHO) and the storyline is really good.

Days Gone just felt like an utter grind, go hear, go there, run out of petrol, boring, bored bored, chopped it in after about a week of trying to gel with it

I'll admit it took me a while to really "get it", but once I got into it and the story developed, I really got into it. I actually finished it last night, after the credits have rolled you're back in the game to "free-roam", much like GTA V.I'll do some more free-roaming (as part of this, there are a few extra missions to complete) then I'll re-install RDR2 and give it a another go. My go to game for just wandering around and doing things is GTA V. My problem with RDR2 is that it just takes so long to go anywhere and do anything, miles and miles on horseback gets old quick for me, but I'll give it another go.
Very aware that Days Gone is a bit marmite though.
I've said it before on here, but consider The Witcher 3.
Having been more used to FPS games I struggled to get to grips with the combat system, and gave up on it after about 10hrs or so. However, I picked it back up again a couple of months ago and am now up to 100hrs on gameplay. Massive (and beautiful) open world to explore, and a great storyline to keep you interested. Definitely worth persevering with.

I've been stuck, on and off, over the past few years, with getting past the very first Griffin. I enjoyed Mad Max. It does get a bit samey. But, in a good way, IMO.
Came across this review of Days Gone and it's very good and reflects my own experience well and why people should possibly give it another go and push through the difficult beginning.
