Has anyone ever played this? Been playing this recently and it seems to be one of the few older games that still plays well to this day. Great graphics and gameplay for the time (2002) and multiplayer is a hoot.

I've not played it in a long time but have very fond memories of it as I worked on the project, I did the layout and camera for most of the cinematics along with a load of VFX work.

Not played it in several years but mostly have memories of a map where it was essentially a square floor plan on 2 floors with stairs off one side and like a suspended section where the golden gun was. Remember playing teams with AI bots (used to also be a feature in Timesplitters 2) used to be good fun.

Think Oddjob's hat was a weapon in this as well...

I played this so much on PS2, had many split screen 4 player sessions. Odd Jobs hat was a weapon and it was a 1 hit kill!

Correct. It was great when you had the hat but really irritating when the AI had it. I think the Golden Gun was one hit as well

I have the game and a PS2. Unfortunately PS2 looks like utter crap on a HDTV via scart (my TV doesn't have component input) and finding a decent CRT TV that isn't massive is proving difficult.

Fond memories of playing this with my Dad on the PC back in the day, we used to take turns playing when the other one died, which happened a lot!

I think the pc version differs slightly to the console versions? As in made by a different company hehe the bots in multiplayer are quite dumb, but the incredible variety of multiplayer game modes and options must have had some inspiration to call of duty and other modern titles?

Potentially, Timesplitters 2 came out in the same year as nightfire and one year before call of duty.

The amount of multiplayer options in timesplitters 2 was incredible. But anyway, nightfire (console version) multiplayer was quite good.
