Just seen an email come through, looks like the sale is on until 3 December, hopefully a few bargains to be had smile

On my wishlist:
£5.99 - Fallout 4
£12.49 - Farcry 5
£8.74 - Xcom 2
£2.49 - Command & Conquer 3 (anyone played this recently?)

Command and conquer 3 is good, probably the last good C&C game made, however consider that the game no longer has proper server support on steam so you'll be using a third party service to play online.

If you can put up with using origin you can get all the C&C games for just £4.

Hope this helps.

Cheers for that.

I assume you can still play C&C 3 offline in single player?

I bought the original boxed version of this when it first came out (and then Kane's Wrath too), absolutely love it! I played through the campaign again a few months ago and it still holds up very well.

One thing I would highly recommend is to do the mod that allows you to zoom out as far as you like- the close default view (even at max zoom) I found really tough after years of playing Supreme Commander (another must have RTS). I can't remember whether it's a downloaded mod or just a .ini file edit- either way it only took a couple of minutes to do and it works a treat and lets you zoom right out to get a proper view of everything.

I've also just realised it is almost exactly 20 years since I bought C&C Tiberian Sun. I had just bought my first PC (saved up 3 years of paper-round and b/day money), and picked up Tiberian Sun the week before Christmas 1999. Very fond memories playing it all over Christmas biggrin

I think I'll try and pick up physical copies of generals/zero hour - I have them all on Origin but just cannot get mods to work and there were some amazing mods (shockwave or the star wars mods were awesome!). Perhaps we need our own thread biggrin

I've hundreds of games on Steam, not sure what to get in the sale yet. I really want COD but not paying £50 (and its not on steam yet).

I've had a refund from Steam for £11.40. So no controller for me.

Have a look for "the first decade" it was released in 2006 on dvd.
Unofficial patches are available to make it work on win 10.
Win 7 it worked out the box (at the time).

I cant be without the airships in Yuri's revenge. biggrin

For generals\zero hours on win 10, it's needs a no dvd patch.
As the method of dvd\cd checking used when the games were first produced, is no longer supported by microsoft.
The game itself will install and run no worries with that patch in place.

I finally got around to buying Arma 3. It has the standard 1 million key bindings and the first NPC helicopter I saw landed upside down. So pretty much as expected so far if you have played any of the other ones biggrin

biglaugh That reminds me I should give it another go at some point. Bought it a couple of years ago but gave up after a few missions as I struggled with the controls and trying to keep up with what was going on. Need to remember it's a bit more complicated than your average FPS hehe
