One player game similar to Far Cry

I'm looking for a one player game that's similar in style to the Far Cry series.

I've tried Just Cause and didn't like it
The COD series doesn't work for me either

Any other recommendations?

I loved FC and also love the Deus Ex games. They're open world with tons of things to do if you can't be bothered playing the main quests. Character development is good and there's the ability to mod your weapons etc.

Probably mega cheap being a few years old, too.

Hitman 2 is good. I enjoy Far Cry and loved Hitman/

Maybe try Prey? Or the Fallout series? I'm a fan of Far Cry as well and just started Fallout 4, v.impressed so far.

Ooh didn’t realise that. I got right to the last battle on the PS4 but didn’t finish it, then got a PS4 Pro and haven’t played it since. I will get it on PC when it comes out.

Also a big FC fan and I REALLY enjoyed fallout4. Currently playing The Last Of Us again but couldn't get on with Red Dead.

Uncharted is a great series. Good fun with high production values.

The Division 2 has a lot of similarities with Far Cry, but none of the stealth mechanics, sadly.

The Tomb Raider series are excellent, highly recommended.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is very good also.

I know you know the Far Cry series 1-5 & New Dawn but have you tried Far Cry Primal? That's one some miss.

It is classified as a FPS even if the shooters are spears and arrows

Other than that I'd say have a look at Metro Exodus. Or those mentioned by others.

Bio shock series. Easy 40-50 hours in each game and so atmospheric.
