Two Player Co-op Missions
Discussion
I'm not really one for online gaming, but used to enjoy having a few mates round with some beers and a 2/3/4 player co-op mission - think Spec Ops on CoD Modern Warfare.
Everything I can find seems to be Capture the Flag type games with no real objective if that makes sense? Not limited to FPS either, though I can't think how it would be incorporated into other games. Don't mind playing a bit of FIFA or Rocket League, but they get stale after a few rounds.
Anyone know of any games I could look into so I can get my mates back?

A Way Out on the PS4 is co-op only, it's hardly the last word in gaming finesse, but there's a fair few silly mini-games within the world too that can allow a bit of friendly competition to be indulged in whilst also giving you an actual story to play through together. Was reduced on the PS store a little while ago, and only one of you needs to buy the game to both play it together online, or can do local split screen too.
For PC there's a very clever utility called Universal Split Screen that lets you play a bunch of stuff Co-op in a local server. I mainly use it for family sessions of Stardew Valley and Terraria but it'll work with Borderlands, CS:GO and Left for dead 2 according to the documentation.
