"Bethesda, id Software, Machine Games, and more, all to Xbox Game Studios. Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, DOOM, and many more IP will go exclusive to Xbox and Windows 10."
So also the upcoming Starfield and ES VI PC and Xbox exclusive.

In general, Microsoft (right now, with this leadership team) are open, to a fairly extreme degree. Xbox, pc, steam, gamepads, just play it. As a marketing tool, it's a good look, when other people are willing to point at Sony, and their PS only vibe. Spiderman as a PS exclusive in the Marvel game?
Are the new generation consoles still only marginally profitable? Can't see Sony being massively amused if PS players start giving their cash to Microsoft. Hey, might as well offer PS Game Pass...

Well I feel a bit silly pre-ordering two PS5s. I've spent more hours on Bethesda games in the last 10 years than every other company put together. I do have a gaming PC and may well go that route for future releases, but I've never owned an XBox and never had any inclination to. I guess I'll see what shakes out over the next two months, but I may well end up putting one or both of my PS5s up for sale when/if they arrive.
The only possible positive from this for me is that both Obsidian and Bethesda are now under the XBox umbrella meaning we might get good Fallout games again. Fallout 4 wasn't a bad game, but it wasn't what it should have been. F76 was garbage to the point that I still have an unopened copy. Maybe, just maybe, Obsidian will be allowed to make New Vegas 2 and we can all go back to enjoying what should be the best games franchise in the world.

If rumours are true Sony approached every major 3rd party publisher and gained exclusive deals, not sure if timed/ content etc.
no gamer wins in these scenarios, there’s talks of MS having bought SEGA now aswel, so that’s streets of rage now....
I’m quite sure on the backstory, but I remember when GTA was Sony exclusive, I bet they regret letting that deal slip...

I’ve always had a PS purely because of Gran Turismo. I have a PS4 atm.
Then I saw Forza 4 and got an XBox, then an XBox One for Forza 7 and Horizon 4.
Then I realised GT is so obsessed with being “real” that it wasn’t much fun. Forza is way more enjoyable.
With this latest news I doubt I’ll buy a new PS5 and will just go XBox from now on because I love the Fallout games.
