Minecraft ways to play.
Discussion
Hello.
I am thinking of getting my son (6) his first tablet for Christmas this year.
He likes Minecraft having seen them building big Ben and titanic on you tube. I used to be into games on pc , Xbox and Ipads. Children and family life means I have lost touch with gaming. What would be the best way for him to play ? I have an Xbox 360 & a business laptop.
Would a £150 10" tablet or a used laptop of the same price work smoothly or an Xbox one? I want the hour each day he will be allowed to play to be enjoyable , so run nice and smoothly etc.
Thanks.
Nick

Personally, I'd stick with the Xbox version at his age. As he gets older he may wish to join the modding community in Minecraft, at which point a PC would suit better, but if you already have an xbox use that.
Minecraft, once you start to mod it with texture packs etc can be rather demanding on a PC, therefore a cheap tablet or user laptop will start to struggle. Let him explore the interest on Xbox first
