Anyone else playing this ?

Decent physics and pretty addictive. Surprised there wasn't a thread about it already.

Ooo, like the look of that, funny how changing the aesthetic and realism aspects sort of makes it almost more realistic feeling, as long as the cars move right, which they look like they do.

How do the cars handle in-game? The trailer looks like they are all the same 4wd physics model with different cosmetics, even the classic Rwd cars.

I haven't made it as far as the 4WD cars in the career mode yet but the RWD cars feel pretty good to me. The weight transfer feels right and it's quite easy to tell once you've lost traction. Getting it sideways around a corner is not too easy but feels great when you get it right. The RWD cars don't feel 4WD so I'd be surprised if it's the same model.

Saying that, it's not a sim. There's no car set-up or laser scanned road surfaces or anything like that. It's just a fun, top down racer based on old school rally cars (of which there are plenty : list)

Their discord channel has a lot of info from the developer about what they're working on and it sounds like there's quite a lot more to come. Currently adding ghost cars for the time-trailing.

System requirements (copied from Steam):-

My PC is 4 years old and it copes fine. You'd need steering wheel & pedals or a controller to get the best out of it (I'd imagine playing with keyboard would be pretty tough).

Picked this up in the steam sale for ~£15. It's been a long time since a rally game has appealed to me but this one is great. Not pretentious, just clean honest fun.

I can't drive for toffee though biggrin

Looks great and will give it a go. Looks similar to lonely mountain downhill, which I'd wager fans of Art of Rally would enjoy too.

It's all in the drift

You can get this for £4 - log into the Epic Games store, grab the £10 coupon and the game is on sale for £14 already; coupon takes it down to £4

I've been looking forward to this coming to consoles, I was a big fan of Absolute Drift.

Glad it's on GamePass, only about 4GB too. For such a basic game it's very addictive, the soundtrack is great too.

I don't suppose anyone has played this on a laptop without the NVidia graphics?

The trick there is to play it when it was first released, before the fast players turned up biggrin
