Xbox chat headset recommendations please

Both my kids have a habit of breaking these.

Have tried a few that plug into the 3.5mm jack and they go the same way.

Any recommendations please. They just want a mic not to have the sound through the head set. Other wise I would probably go the wireless route to save wires being broken etc.

Don’t have a specific model but I’ve always used turtle beaches and they have always lasted a good long time.
Mine is wireless and runs off the batteries in the Xbox pad.

If they just want a mic can't you just use a cheap mini lavalier, they're £3 on fleabay.

Have tried the turtle beach one in the past and that didn’t last long either till the ear piece didn’t work.

The levalier would be ok if they didn’t want to have the ear piece to hear.

Cheap phone headphones then? I used to use the free ones that came with my Samsung whenever my Xbox headphones broke. You can set the Xbox sound up so that all sound comes through the TV, game sounds and chat from friends, that way they can have a little plug in mic on the controller and no cables to destroy.
