Battlefield 6 Thread

Really looking forwards to this one. I hope it everything that BF4 was. I thought BF1 and BF5 were only average but they did have some good aspects.

Level Cap released some leaked info suggesting BF6 could be set 10 years in the future. I liked 2142 so if true, it could be a modernised BF4.. who knows!

Given that EA have royally screwed up previous BF's I vowed never to buy into the franchise again.. but here we are again

I’m with you! Hardcore mode would make it for me. PS5 will be purchased at the same time as this is released hopefully.

Who doesn't enjoy spawning into a chopper just as the pilot bails out, leaving you hurtling to the ground whilst mashing the function keys in a panic trying to seat swap to the pilot seat...

I haven't played a battlefield game since battlefield 2 back in the day, with the dessert combat version also, used to play with my brother in co-op working against Bots on LAN multiplayer. Your comment reminded me of when it spawns you inside a large circling Hercules type plane but the moment you Spawn the AI pilot seems to leave his post, there was a slight warning though as you just hear the engines stop before it starts to descend.

BF3 was peak Battlefield IMO. That was a great game.

BF1 was OK and BFV was criminal. Plus the cheating...

I’m really hoping BF6 returns to BF3 style gameplay but I’m not holding my breath.

You needed to play bad company 2. That was the pinnacle of the franchise. Bf3 was great though. Loved metro.

They were all great apart from BF V which still feels half complete and a little like abandonware.

I still have good memories of BF Vietnam and BF2142...

Back to BF6 - are there any rumours about the technology it'll be based on? Will it require an unobtainium graphics card?

2142 was my favourite. Sank hundreds of hours into that. Not really bothered with it since.

Oh I did (and BC1, and BF2, and 1942!). The destruction in BC2 was fantastic, and the sense of humour hilarious. It’s a shame they haven’t made BC3 in the same vein.

BF3 still wins for me though. The additional DLC (proper DLC, not stupid bloody skins and face paint) kept the game going for ages.

Same here. The range of stuff to play with was immense although I was not that keen on hover tanks.. I seemed to spend most of life going sideways. Put the whole podding thing and Titans, especially when you played in a good squad to destroy the core was epic.

If rumours are to be believed, then BF6 is set 10 years from now and who knows what toys there will be to play with. Expect a LOT of drones
