I am thinking about it but for me £55 to play pretty much the same game as the 2020 version...... I will wait for it to drop to £20 or so (I have 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 after all).....

Is it a big upgrade? I have a £60 Amazon voucher burning a hole in my pocket, for some reason the physical version is cheaper on there than the download code, or should I wait for 202 to presumably be added to Game Pass and play that for free?

Graphics are a bit better , story mode is fun, I've got must raving games around and this is the best wheel to wheel racing I've had (single player) so far

Really enjoyed it so far, the breaking point mode is great.

Career mode difficulty settings seem a bit all over the place, 79 you can win fairly comfortably straight away, 80 you car Mazepin mk2

I didn't know it came out. If I can get it cheap on eBay or CEX I'll grab it. Last F1 game I had was 2016

I picked this up over the weekend, so far the racing with the AI is the best I've experienced on a F1 game.

They've simplified the R&D and practice programmes so you dont have to grind every session to get the R&D points.

It varies wildly between tracks as well.

Melbourne - win by 5 seconds
China - no where near the points

It's been the same since 2010. 11 games in I would have thought they'd make the AI consistent by now.

Too much time making cutscenes I guess. Almost everything else in this game is taken straight from 2020.

Just downloading this now

The inconsistent a.I still being an issue is a shame but expected, I’ve had them set to 105 for the last few games, certain tracks I tend to win without too much struggle , but other tracks is a sweatfest

Judging by the comments on here it's not worth getting if you have f1 2020?

Although I usually end up trading last years in for this years. Anyone know trade in price for f1 2020?

Not really, at least not at full price. Only reason I bought it was because I've moved from PS4 to PC. Very little has changed - they've removed classic cars so if anything it is a downgrade. The commentary/sound bites/customisation options are all identical. Some of the menus have changed cosmetically but are functionally identical. You can tell EA has taken over!

There is a story which has some different in-race scenarios, these are comparable to the invitational events in 2020. There is also now a two player career mode. If neither of those interest you then I wouldn't bother.

I have never worked out why they dont have Adaptive AI. For example you lap at 1.31, AI learns this is your level and challenges you at that pace....and it varies race to race.

I am a genius I know.

Random question but has anyone upgraded from the PS4 to PS5 version and managed to transfer their career save?

I've just swapped over to a PS5 and while everything transferred fine and the PS4 version loads my saved data the PS5 version of the game doesn't pick it up. Wreckfest had an option to transfer the data but can't see that here.

EDIT: Should have looked a bit further, typical to find it after posting! For anyone else wondering you can't transfer the data over:

Back to the PS4 version for me!
