How to buy a PS5

I can't believe these are still nigh on impossible to get hold of. My son has asked for one for Christmas. I don't want to buy 2nd hand or of the scalpers so is there another way?

I have just over 3 months. Let the games begin!

Use Telegram and sign up to Stock Informer for the latest PS5 'drops'. That's how I got mine about a month ago.

Took me some time to get the Xbox series x (last year). Staying up really late for launches and super early for possible release.

Constantly at those times checking the key sites for stock - then pull the trigger ASAP.

I signed up to various Twitter feeds that tweet when they hear of new stock at various outlets. I was just getting into bed after a midnight shift finish when Argos released their stock and managed to grab one. It arrived less than 8hrs later which was impressive in itself.

I walked into a Game store & they put me on a list. The console arrived about 2 weeks later.

Don't discount the old fashioned way of buying something...

One of them is saying Argos are going to drop digital and Disc versions tomorrow at 8am nationwide 8-10k units.

I got mine sealed on Facebook Marketplace with a £40 mark up. There were loads on there.

Just managed to get one from Very.... £510 which includes an extra controller.

I had the notification email through Stock Informer so thanks to the poster who recommended using that. I think I will have one happy teenager come Xmas morning. The only thing now is trying not to open it myself before then!

I suggest you do and get all the updates and game updates downloaded especially if it's COD first then rebox it up or else you will have one unhappy teenager at Xmas sat round for hours waiting to play it while it does its thing.

Yes, I was on Argos too. The nearest store in stock was 100miles away with no delivery options. I just don't have time for a 200 mile round trip so I was very lucky. A few minutes after I bought, they had gone....

I managed to order on from Game website, went for the bundle with extra controller and Spiderman game.

I went to a Game store early this morning and the shop said they were due on their website at some point today, and the stores were due stocks at some time this week, but they couldn't specify when.

Nipped into Argos and they had sold out, and non available on their website.

Went online to Game and joined a queue to get onto their site and ordered the bundle for availability on 17th Sept. Went back onto their website again to have another look and they had sold out.

I queued for 45mins earlier and ended up on the Game website at around 2pm and the only "bundle" options I could purchase were £600+. Sod that.

I suppose I'll have to be quicker on the uptake for the next 'batch'......
