Hell Let Loose PS5
Discussion
My 18yr old played the Omaha map, he described it as running a marathon in sand to get headshot, I played 30mins, top tip use your mic, find someone who knows what they're doing and don't let them out of your sight! If your officer isn't building spawn points switch sqads! prepare to die, I got shot, blown up by artillery and run over by a truck
I'm hoping to get on with some mates tonight, I think with teamwork and comms this could be good.Ruskie said:
If you thought RDR2 didn’t contain enough walking this could be for you!
Yeah, downloaded with high hopes, played for about 25 mins - 23 mins of walking, 1 min in the menu...... Walked for 10 minutes, found a tank, got blown up. Walked for 10 minutes, found a house, got shot. Walked for 3 minutes, looked at map and thought better of it. Switched off.Jasandjules said:

Switched off.Played with 5 mates, had a good squad leader, I played support and it was really good, you have to build OP's and garrisons, takes time to understand the maps etc, sat down to play at 7 and next time I looked it was 11:30. If you don't have spawn points it's miserable, get them built before you even see the enemy. Teamwork and communication are key to enjoying this game, get in the squad chat straight away, remember you can change roles when you re-spawn, if your squad gets killed by a tank spawn as anti-tank, at one time we spent 20mins hunting a sniper near our garrison, the front line had long moved on but it was great fun, getting off Omaha was tricky, but we got a spawn near a bunker and managed to defend it, then pushed inland and overran their garrison, some of the best FPS I've played.

Have about 20hrs in this now and really enjoying it, I can't emphasise enough how important teamwork and communication are in this game, you can use squad/proximity chat, if you're only interested in your KD then don't bother, you'll hate it, if you want to play a role in a squad and don't mind following orders it may be the game for you.

I can’t think of a game in 32 years of gaming that has provided as little fun as this gem. Utterly devoid of fun.
It is dire if you aren't into the genre. I played a with a few obsessed friends on PC a few months back when they held an open access weekend and it wasn't for me. It's essentially a crawling in mud simulator.Ruskie said:

Fair play if you have stuck with this steaming turd! Just tried to drive a truck across the map and it glitched so hard I thought I had gone back 15 years in time. I also can’t deal with the long deployment times. Mind numbing. Yeah..I'm still playing a couple of nights a week, normally 3-4 of us, sometimes we go SAS style behind lines, sometimes just play the objectives, we've done tank crew as well, I get it's not for everyone and there's a lot to learn, servers are full though. Hopefully Market Garden and the Pacific maps will come to PS5, there's talk of half tracks as mobile spawn points as well.
