COD Modern Warfare - Single player Campaign issues
Discussion
Pulling my hair out here. And at my age, not a shrewd move...
After years with no COD in my library, I bought this - having seen a few nice levels on YT.
Stick disc in PS4.. shows the menu same as seen on YT.. then the app insists on a ~60GB update.
Now it's completely different interface.
Then another ~10GB update.
Getting daft - taking hours.
Now... Campaign mode is showing 'Installation Suspended'.
I dont want to play against 10 yr olds that'll thrash me, I just wanted the single player stuff.
How the f do I get it to work?!

Might be worth having a look through the download section of the dashboard as that sometimes clues you in on why it's failed, could be that you need to clear some space by deleting other games or it simply wants you to confirm something.
If that doesn't cast any light on it, I'd suggest wiping the data via the System > Storage section of the main dashboard, then try downloading again as it sounds like it's got stuck in a loop there. It's a bit of a pain but that seems to be the way things are going with the updates these days, 100GB games are pretty commonplace now.

Ah thanks. Re 'System > Storage' ..would that be wiping the data for only COD? Shouldnt be storage.. recently plugged a 2TB external drive when the 500MB was crammed.

MW has had issues, and was regularly freezing and requiring piling the power lead.
Son bought me Vanguard for Christmas, apparently I've not enough hard drive space to allow me to play the campaign mode, but I've played multiplayer for a few days, and the freezing is a lot less, maybe only a couple of times so far.

CoD isn’t the place to go for a decent single player fps these days imo. 300gb of drive space for a minimal tacked on campaign is a poor compromise.
I’ve been looking for some dumb fps fun recently and had a good time with Borderlands 3. I’m about to give Doom a go.
