External HD for PS5 options

Any recommendations for an external HD for for a PS5?

What do you wanto use it for? You can't play games on an external hard drive, you have to copy them back to internal storage and play them from there. What you've linked is a mechanical drive not an SSD so it will be considerably slower.

There is an option to add an internal SSD which is what I'd be doing in the first instance

Yes it's basically to play games off, as the internal HD can only store so many.

You can play PS4 games off an external HD but not PS5 as yet as the connection is too slow.

If you want to play PS5 games you need an internal SSD. Once prices come down to a "better for me" price I will get a nice 2TB drive...
