$3.6 Billion, not too bad.

Does this mean Halo on the PS5?

So what does Bungie currently have in the pipeline? People don't seem to be talking about Destiny/2 anymore so they can't just rely on that.

They've already said that isn't happening. I expect they'll make a new IP exclusive to PS in the future, but Destiny is amongst the most-played games on Steam and it will no doubt be the same on the Xbox and PS.

There's simply too much money to be made to made it exclusive to any one platform. Still, Bungie obviously predicted this concern because as soon as the news broke, the heads of Bungie came out with the statement that Destiny isn't going anywhere, even under the watch of new corporate overlords.

Destiny 2 has another few years to run yet, with Witch Queen later this month, Lightfall probably jn early 2023, The Final Shape in 2024 and that could run into 2025. They've already said that this is but one (admittedly very long) story arc and not the end of Destiny. As long as the Destiny IP continues to draw money, I think D3 is likely to be on the cards.

Bungie recently renovated their HQ and main development space and bought a bunch of extra space at the same site. They've been on a hiring spree in recent months too, so I guess they had some confidence the Sony deal would come through. I expect there will be more big announcements for new IPs to come, possibly even TV shows and movies, but I'm not really interested in those as much as I am in games.
