Looks like some footage of the much anticipated GTA6 has been leaked.
Let's hope it's not going the same way that Hollywood is going.

(Not sure how long youtube link will last)

I just can’t get excited by GTA6. It’s rumoured to be in Vice City, which leaked footage seems to more or less tally with. Great. Had that already. Just like we’ve had Liberty City twice, and San Andreas twice. Bets on GTA7 being in Liberty City to begin the cycle over?
Just like in the cinema, it’s just old stories/settings being warmed over again and again.
Even within the US, let alone globally, there are so many settings this could be placed in.
I don’t doubt it will be an outstanding game, but some originality, please.

It’s pretty much confirmed legit.
It looks like a 2015 game, but then it seems to be playing on a PS4.
It won’t be playing on any console and the reason it looks bad is that it mostly seems to be physics tests. The graphics will be set to bare bones as there’s no need to strain your equipment trying to run high res graphics while also testing unfinished physics. It looks like a 2015 game, but then it seems to be playing on a PS4.

Some of the builds that were leaked were also 12 months old.Good to see some actual progress. V was excellent, but after nearly 10 years I think they've bled it dry.

Many years ago, probably after the release of GTAV, I had the thought that they should do the Gulf of Mexico. They'd done Liberty City and Los Santos again, so it made sense that they would go back to Vice City. Just like in the cinema, it’s just old stories/settings being warmed over again and again.

But if they expanded all that out so you had Miami, Jamaica, Cuba, Mexico, you've pretty much the whole US drugs trade right there. I figured even if the map was the size of V, you could make it work. And yes you'd have hillbillies and maybe a bit of New Orleans, which made even more sense of course after the release of RDR2, the blueprint for that town is right there, and the surrounding landscape. Fact you could pretty much lift it wholesale and neatly link back to RDR. Easter eggs aplenty
And then I heard it looks like it's just gonna be Vice City. And in the modern day. With maybe some dlc or chapters that would link to another town (Rio was rumoured, which I can't fathom, and I also heard maybe a bit of Liberty City. Which also seems odd)
Just seems like a missed opportunity if it's basically just Miami again. Like you, I'm sure it will still be a great game, but come on, imagine it, the Gulf of Mexico, it would be epic! I'm sure they could scale it and make it all work.
Am I wrong?

I don’t know what to make of this as I don’t really understand, but this is a pretty big, detrimental, deal for R* if true.

AIUI it then it's not only leaking the game, but basically the blueprints as well giving anyone with the knowledge the ability to make their own version. So yeah, it would be a disaster if it it leaked. Can't help but be excited by a new GTA game and some actual visible gameplay. They've all been excellent games, although after the first 6 months I had no more interest in GTA online - that did seem like a cash grab. If it funds another proper single player GTA game within GTA 6 though, I suppose that's ok!
