Played for an hour yesterday - Me and the Wife play a lot of COD Vanguard, we both commented the same.... it's different! The movement is heavy and the gun recoil trickier to manage compared to the last game.
I started to enjoy it when I got used to it. To me it was harder, so once I got over that fact, getting kills were quite satisfying.
Will I pre-order it? No.
Will I get it eventually? Probably.
Is it a game changer for the franchise? No.
Just my 2p :-)

I've been playing since COD3 so I'm a bit of a fanboy. I'll fully admit some were better than others
I cant compare the performance as I've moved to a PS5 from a XB1X and the framerate is massively better, but the gameplay seems good. They were certainly fiddling over the weekend a lot with gamestyles dropping in and out on an hourly basis it seemed. I agree with it being less 'agile' to start with. Mantling up and hanging off ledges seems like a unnecessary addition but I can imagine that it could be a handy new mechanic, you just don't expect people to be hanging off stuff.
The new modular receiver seems good, which makes the M4 pretty much anything you could want. I also managed to work out the MP5 that you couls get with a bit of fiddling, that made quite a difference to movement speed.
I like the drill grenade - it's just a bit mild compared to the R6S version that Fuze had
I quite like the other game styles with the money and the hostage, but the thing with COD is that it's not a thinking man's FPS really, few people play S&D and these I can see going that way. I hate Team Deathmatch, it's such an annoying no skill game where people just spawn anywhere.
It's just a grown up version of it's MW predecessors and I'd agree it more evolution than revolution. I preordered it though (which strains against every fibre of my being - but it's not EA), where did you get your code from?

I didn’t take to modern warfare, I much preferred the feel of the older cods, to the point I enjoyed Cold War which was a worse game “apparently”
Given this is Modern warfare 2 I’m assuming it’s back to the modern warfare 2019 “feel”???
I absolutely loved the 2009 MW2 though, I’ve heard this 2022 MW2 will feature quite a few of the old maps which has my interest
