Any other homeworld fans on here.

One of my favourite games. The remaster a few years, ago was great.

This new one looks gorgeous and has some interesting new mechanics.

Grabbed a pre order of the Collectors Edition as its got some nice stuff in it that isn't just a polystone statue and skins in game and was under £200 which is a, rarity for these editions nowadays.

Looks very cool, loved the 1st game and enjoyed the 3 sequels/spinoffs.

Will be great to get more Homeworld, although I'm slightly concerned at this included in the pack "Homeworld 3 Year One Pass" that implies some sort of subscription or DLC chapter based content?

Probably if there is an expansion with more missions or more like kely just maps and such for multiplayer that you get anyway as part of the Collectors Ed. It's pretty std stuff now. A bit of a throwaway add on.

'OW MUCH??!?!?! biggrin

And then you see that you get a model of the mothership and a few support craft before descending into the man maths spiral...

I don't even have a machine capable of running this but that model is tempting....

Don't be surprised .... They have just launched Homeworld Mobile which I've been looking forward too for a year.

It's Free To Play ...

Interesting, I quite liked the concept of Homeworld and remember giving it a go back when it first came out, but for some reason never really gelled with it. I vaguely recall the single player campaign to be quite tough, as you carried any resources/ships over from the last mission, so if you had a shocker then you had no chance next time out.

Skirmish was more fun as you didn't have to worry about this. Likewise I recall multiplayer was a good laugh, back then with mates at uni over the LAN we had set up in our house.

Salvage, Salvage, Salvage.

It's always incredibly tough when you squeeze through the single player campaign the first time around by the skin of your teeth with a ragtag fleet of whatever you have left.

Then you play through a second time round and discover that all you really need is a massive fleet of salvage corvettes. You can then waltz on through being unstoppable like the nomadic traveller you are, nicking almost every single enemy you encounter. Particularly fun once you command a fleet of stolen kadeshi multi beam frigates wink

This, live out your space nomad kleptomania fantasies. I always try to grab the bad guys mothership in the finale but I don't think it can be done.
