Wrc Generations

Had this for Xmas on the xbox one, I'm a big rally fan but omg I can't get to grips with the handling at all. Tried all recommended settings online and can't get control of the car. I find the steering twitching and very sensitive.
I'm using xbox controller is this my problem ?
Any help please. I can see the game is awesome but the handling is really annoying me now !
