A weapon that fires shavings from the skulls of your enemies?! That's the most 40k Doom thing ever!

Yep, definitely buying this. Shame it's a 2025 release. I wonder if it'll have enemies like the Marauder from Doom Eternal, which I remember a few people getting hacked off with on here.

Enjoyed Eternal and the DLCs, will definitely be getting this. Although I couldn't play it for much longer than an hour at a time.

Hmm. Looks too dark to me. No point in having an expensive card when only a third of the screen is visible.

Game induced epilepsy?

I hope they have removed the stupid jump, double jump and swing mechanics from Doom Eternal. That was a great game apart from that crap.

I think Doom 2016 hit the sweet spot in terms of you get further so get a bigger gun to deal with bigger/ tougher enemies (with some customisation thrown in).
Eternal seemed to rely more on knowing when to use the exact weapon and the right way to use it to succeed which made it too fussy for me to play. I gave up as soon as I got the Bloodsword thing as I just couldn't figure out how to use it effectively.
This looks like it could be similar, with the shield, too.
