Yes, I know this system is ancient but my lad is showing am interest in retro gaming biggrin

So, I got one, knackered drive, fitted something called CUBEODE (retroscaler) which runs games from an SD card (backups of games I own of course).

I've formatted the SD card using refus as per the instructions, I've tried 2 SD cards, same result.

Swiss is the latest version and boot.iso is installed, any idea's?

Thanks

I've modded most Nintendo consoles, Mini SNES, 2DS, 3DS, Wii, WiiU and the Switch. The best place I find for help are groups on Facebook. There must be a GC one on there that can help. Hope that helps!

Oh, and if you lad loves RETRO games, the best console to get him is a WiiU and then modify it. I did the same with my boy and its a great project to do together and it'll teach him a fair bit about using a PC. Again, check out "Wii / Wii U Modders" group on facebook.

Sorted it smile Seems fake SD cards strike again! Used a know genuine Kingston and it boots fine. Thanks for the tip, I'm totally out of this since the Dreamcast days!!

Glad you got it sorted !

My daughter had her 30th birthday (boxing day), and we spent 3 hours playing Mario kart Double Dash, Crazy Taxi, and Mario Golf, on her old Gamecube, it was brilliant.
