PS5 Controller

So I’m having issues with my PS5. It’s around 18 months old and the past month or so my controllers are ‘locking up’

Every so often it will just hold the most recent analog stick input and the controller becomes unresponsive for about 10 seconds.

Imagine you’re playing a 3rd person game and all of a sudden the camera or character just starts spinning round and then it will stop and you can’t do anything (really annoying when playing GT7)

I’ve had 2 controllers and I’ve purchased a 3rd brand new last weekend to try and rule out a controller problem or a console problem and it’s looking like a console problem.

I assumed in the old controllers it was an extreme stick drift type sensation but having it happen on a brand new controller it’s now looking like a console problem. It’s like the controller disconnects and then reconnects but I don’t get any notification stating a controller disconnect.

I play with a headset on as well and sometimes that will lose all sound for a few seconds and then resume sound but again no notification so I’m wondering are they potentially connected or do I have 2 separate issues.

I have looked briefly on Reddit (although I have no clue how to use that website) and I can’t seem to find anyone else with the same problem on there so just thought I’d cast my net out and see if anyone here has had the same thing or knows of it.

Does it also happen if you use it attached to a cable?

With your headset issue I was just wondering if it's a Bluetooth interference issue. My BT headphones cut out if I go near the microwave when it's on!
