I am sure many of us are at a certain age where we played Desert Strike/Jungle Strike as a child, I know I did on Gameboy and SNES.

Microprose have taken on "Cleared Hot" to distribute at some point in 2025 which is a modern interpretation.

The demo was released on 6th June on Steam. So go and give it a go, I love it!

it's very good and very well done! Hopefully it'll be around £25-£30 and not full price £45-£50.

Glad I am not the only one to have played it!

Yes I am hoping for around the £25 mark. Lurking on the Discord server getting snippets of information like the Airwolf helicopter, the Bell 222, will be in the game. Feel quite excited to play the final version.

There's going to be some Drone missions too apparently. Blue Thunder would be cool too!

I remember playing Desert Strike on my Amiga and I could never get past the first mission...I was a child though! Definitely gonna give this a go and see if I'm any better at the age of 33!

Had desert strike on my mega drive, absolutely loved it, thinking about it I can’t quite believe it’s taken this long for something similar.

Hopefully come to consoles

Gone live on Steam.

£11.51 early access price until the 27th November. I'll be picking it up as soon as I get home!

It's very good, even on normal difficulty there are some difficult missions. The Little bird is great, the Sky Wolf is also great.

A few nods to the original game too, not least your mission giver, Desert Mike!

Very impressed, love you can get Airwolf. The Hind is a platform!

Can this be played with an Xbox controller (bluetooth)?

I loved jungle strike but not much of a PC gamer, that said I see you can now get Steam on a Mac...

The Steam app has been available on the Mac for a while but you can only play Mac compatible games.

This is great, very good on steamdeck!

Wouldn't think any game will work very well on the M series macs will it, as it'll be emulating a different CPU architecture.

It's available now on pre-release and you'll get all further updates as they're released at no extra cost.
