Afternoon all.
I want to finally get a race sim set up with seat, wheel, pedals etc. I am only really interested in the Rally games if that matters.
So, which console is best (PS5, X-Box) etc and would you gamble on a second hand console from Marketplace/ebay etc?
I am looking at used seat rigs as that just makes sense but I am a bit weary about second hand tech. Any pointers or words of wisdom?
Thanks
Brian

I’ve bought used consoles without issue before. Most of my sim stuff is second hand. There’s always a risk I suppose.
I bought a Simetik rig last year on eBay for £50. It would have been about £350 new. It’s substantially more sturdy than anything else I’ve tried. It’s always worth having a look, there are bargains to be had.

Pretty much all my AV gear from the 4K projector, to AVR, speakers, Xbox, Shield all all 2nd hand.
The G923 wheel, pedals, gear stick and series X Xbox cost me £500 in total off eBay. I don't have space for dedicated rig, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate getting the whole lot off eBay. I tend to look out for items that are marked as collection only, as those items are usually cheaper due to less bids, and if the seller is willing to let you go to their house than that a sign the stuff they are selling must be at least OK.
